Bavaro is the most popular area of Punta Cana and also contains the most resorts and many golf courses. When most people think of Punta Cana they are thinking of Bavaro. It is the quintessential Punta Cana. The Bavaro area consists of Bavaro beach, El Cortecitio and Arena Gorda beach.
The Bavaro beach area has Barcelo Bavaro golf , Cocotal Golf and Country Club, White Sands Golf, and the Nick Price designed Punta Blanca Golf. A new golf course is being built at the Moon Palace Resort for even more golfing options in Bavaro.
