Barcelo Bavaro Golf course is currently in the midst of a redesign project. The project is being carried out by golf course designer P.B. Dye.
Barcelo Bavaro Golf course opened in 1991 and was one of the first courses in the Punta Cana area. The renovation is scheduled to be completed in December 2009.
