Las Iguanas Golf Course

Las Iguanas Golf Course will be Cap Cana’s second Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. It is currently under construction, due to open late 2011.

It is located just north of Punta Espada Golf course close to Golden Bear Lodge and Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana.

This challenging course will have a mixture of ocean front, inland and natural wet-land holes. 3 holes will be ocean side with an adjacent large lagoon that is connected to the sea by two entrances that essentially make 2 island holes connected to the mainland by 4 bridges.

Las Iguanas differs from Punta Espada in its design concept with plenty of undulations and movement on the fairways and greens and a different style of bunker design. Overall it has an old school “links feel” to it. The design also allows the golfer alternative ways to play the same shot – risk & reward or safe.

Las Iguanas practice facilities are excellent. With a dual ended driving range for wind direction practice, a large putting green and an expansive chipping green.
