Golfweek magazine has named the Punta Espada golf course number one of the top 50 courses in the Caribbean and Mexico.

Golfweek rated the top 50 courses in the Caribbean and Mexico and two Punta Cana courses made the top 50.  Punta Espada garnered the top spot and the new Faldo Legacy course at Roko Ki came in at # 20.

Punta Espada, a Jack Nicholas designed course, opened in November of 2006 and has already become a stop on the PGA Championship Tour. The course is  a par 72 and more than 7000 yards long with 8 holes hugging the rugged coastline, and 15 of the 18 holes overlooking the ocean.

This stunningly beautiful course seems to be an accolade magnet and is sure to be seen on many best of lists.
